THE IECA ANNOUNCES ITS POSITIONS ON THE NOVEMBER 2020 STATEWIDE BALLOT MEASURES
The IECA, which is a coalition of chambers of commerce in the Inland Empire region, voted to support two measures and oppose five others appearing on the California November 2020 ballot. It is advocating a yes vote on Propositions 20 that would close dangerous loopholes in current law that endanger public safety and Proposition 22 that protects the ability of app-based drivers to work as independent contractors. Among the measures the IECA is urging a no vote on are Proposition 15 that would enact the largest tax hike in California history, Proposition 21 that would open the door for extreme forms of rent control and Proposition 25 that would endanger public safety.
